You have to give an advantage to tiles tied to the objective. If the objective asks to pop a certain number of colored tiles, try matching just those or create power-ups that can destroy tiles of the color needed for the objective. If the objective asks to unlock statues than try creating combos on parts of the board that hide those statues. One of the most common objectives found in Meow Match is to find and collect a certain number of cat statues. They are hidden below the grass, which covers a whole tile on the start of a level. You cannot know where statues are hidden on the start of a level, but once you destroy the first grass layer (it usually consists of two layers) you can see what’s below so you that to your advantage. Once you spot a part of a statue try popping tiles that surround the tile below which statue is placed.
And also, when you are playing statue-collecting levels, it is great when you can create huge combos on parts of the board that contains double layered grass. This way you will create bomb power-ups and with them reveal large portions of grass and will be able to tackle parts of the board hiding statues just a few moves in.
